HARRISBURG, Pa., June 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- United Concordia Dental now offers a low-cost PPO plan designed to "grow" with consumers as their oral health needs evolve in Arizona, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Texas.
Using clinical data to identify dental services most frequently used by individuals as they grow older, the Healthy Stages Plan is designed to meet the changing oral health needs of people who have a history of good oral health—the Healthy Stages Plan.
"This plan is one that grows with you," said James Bramson, D.D.S., chief dental officer for United Concordia Dental. "A lot of people with good oral health have been taking care of their teeth for years, but they still need coverage – coverage that is more in line with the unexpected problems that arise. We repeatedly hear from our network dentists and professional advisors that they see plenty of patients who take good care of their teeth."
The Healthy Stages plan covers cleanings, exams, and x-rays at 100 percent. It also goes beyond preventive services to cover unique procedures performed at a particular age. For example: sealants, under age 16; temporary crowns, ages 16-49; and denture adjustments and repairs, age 50 and beyond.
Employers located in the states where the Healthy Stages Plan is available can consider this as a lower cost alternative in a dual option program. The plan offers access to one of the nation's largest dental networks with more than 81,400 unique dentists at over 234,000 access points.
The Healthy Stages Plan will be available in additional states in January 2015. For more information about United Concordia or this plan, visit UnitedConcordia.com.
