United Entertainment Group (UEG) Announces Media Partnership With Miss Universe
Miss Universe signs on with UEG Studios to launch new digital platform targeting women
NEW YORK, May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- United Entertainment Group (UEG), a best in class agency at the convergence of advertising and entertainment, has announced a content and media partnership with the Miss Universe Organization. UEG, formed with leading Hollywood talent agency United Talent Agency (UTA), is an innovative, new-age entertainment marketing and branding company that develops entertainment-based marketing solutions for major consumer brands. UEG's clients include Procter & Gamble, Estee Lauder and Build-A-Bear Workshop, to name a few.
UEG Studios, the content creation, production, and distribution arm, has been working with Miss Universe to develop their digital platform as an extension of their on-air NBC partnership with Donald Trump. "Miss Universe reaches nearly a billion viewers globally each year with its TV shows and over the last 2 years have seen its online audience grow dramatically," says Jamie Elden, head of UEG Studios.
Miss Universe has now developed its own digital content platform, which will deliver high quality video & editorial lifestyle content featuring past and current title holders of Miss Teen USA, Miss USA & Miss Universe. The content will live on its destination site missuniverse.com as well as syndicated through partnership deals with premium publisher networks. Content will focus on health, beauty & fashion in both vignette format & a reality web series scheduled for a fall release in 2010, Elden continues.
In the last 2 years video views have totaled over 500 million, and now with specific channels and a new look, the brand will extend its partnerships with sponsors to work with the talent on the promotion of both products and to feature around this unique content.
"Aspiration and glamour is what's attracting this new audience online for the brand," says Paula Shugart, President of Miss Universe. "We have struck engagement from a whole new generation of young girls and women in the last few years, and have seen that engagement grow on our web sites and social network groups in great numbers. We needed to evolve quickly to create a video & content environment whereby we could deliver more and more content to feed our ever growing audience and satisfy our advertisers. We realize we have a new generation engaged with our brand and we have to deliver more relevant content to them, which is exciting as we have title holders now who truly resonate with today's teens & women."
Miss Universe launched Miss U TV May 17th.
