University of North Carolina Wilmington Moves from Transcripts on Demand™ to TranscriptsPlus®
Conversion Allows for Increased Levels of Automated Transcript Processing
NORTHFIELD, Ill., March 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The University of North Carolina Wilmington is the first Credentials eScrip-Safe customer to migrate from the Transcripts on Demand™ ordering platform to TranscriptsPlus®.
The move provides UNC Wilmington with increased levels of automation in the ordering, processing and delivery of transcripts that are not available to Transcripts on Demand customers. The difference is made possible through Credentials' implementation of RoboRegistrar®, a proprietary Java application available only when utilizing TranscriptsPlus.
"UNC Wilmington is the first to switch and more customers are expected to follow suit in the near future," said Thomas D. McKechney, CEO of Credentials eScrip-Safe. "We are encouraging each institution to utilize the solution that works best for its unique situation."
Since 2003, TranscriptsPlus has been working in tandem with RoboRegistrar to automate back-end transcript processing and streamline the entire transcript process. Functionality includes locating records, checking for holds, authenticating students and alumni, communicating via email and text and facilitating fulfillment based on the format preference of the receiving institution. Credentials is also sending PDF transcripts on behalf of UNC Wilmington through both TranscriptsNetwork™ and the eScrip-Safe (eSS) Network.
In January, Credentials Solutions and eScrip-Safe merged to form Credentials eScrip-Safe, offering the most robust transcript ordering and fulfillment services in the industry. This merger also formed the largest electronic transcript sending and receiving network serving Higher Ed. As a Transcripts on Demand client since 2009, UNC Wilmington was familiar with outsourcing its transcript ordering, remote printing and electronic transcript delivery. When the merger became official, UNC Wilmington wanted to be one of the first clients to transition in order to take immediate advantage of the additional functionality the Credentials platform provides.
"Right from the start, the Credentials team made every effort to ensure our transition was memorable by responding to every question, as if we are their only client," said Jonathan Reece, University Registrar at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. "They also asked lots of questions to determine the best solution for us, so this partnership is off to a great start."
The collaboration between the Client Relationship Management and IT Teams at Credentials eScrip-Safe and the Registrar's office and IT department at UNC Wilmington made for a smooth implementation that took just seven days.
"This has been the fastest and most efficient implementation I've experienced," added Reece. "The transcript staff at UNC Wilmington is happy with the service and excited about using this newfound time to explore additional opportunities and responsibilities in the office. We look forward to partnering with Credentials eScrip-Safe for years to come."
