TEMPE, Ariz., Oct. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- US Airways' (NYSE: LCC) employees around the world will "BE PINK" today to kick off the airline's partnership with the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (MSABC). Throughout the month of October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, US Airways employees will show their support of breast cancer programs through special BE PINK uniform pieces and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks in Charlotte, N.C., Philadelphia, Phoenix and Washington, D.C. "For many of us, cancer has struck close to home. We have been touched by someone who fights this disease in its various forms," said Elise Eberwein, Executive Vice President, People, Communications and Public Affairs.
