US Airways Flight Attendants To Vote On Single Contract
Agreement Would Extend Industry-Leading Job Protections, Increase Pay and Set Stage for New Merger
WASHINGTON, Jan. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) today reached a tentative agreement with US Airways management for a contract covering all US Airways mainline Flight Attendants. The tentative agreement, reached under the supervision of the National Mediation Board (NMB), would allow for immediate economic improvements and provide all US Airways Flight Attendants with the strongest position possible for any discussions related to the next merger. AFA was steadfast that any agreement recognize the contributions of US Airways Flight Attendants and provide the opportunity to work as partners in a potential merger.

"We are incredibly grateful for the leadership of the National Mediation Board and especially the skilled oversight of Board Member Puchala and Mediator Mackenzie."
