SAN MATEO, Calif., June 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. News & World Report, publisher of Best Hospitals, Best Medical Schools and Best Health Insurance Plans, has announced a new collaboration with Doximity, the leading professional network for doctors. Working with Doximity, U.S. News will offer a free online directory of more than 700,000 practicing U.S. physicians. This enables U.S. News to better serve its mission of providing consumers with data and tools to help guide them in selecting medical providers, which can be among life's most crucial decisions.

U.S. News will also help doctors take advantage of Doximity's free networking service, which lets licensed physicians interact with their referral networks, exchange and sign HIPAA-compliant communications via smartphone and collaborate on cases. More than 20% of U.S. physicians already use the Doximity service.
