User Centric Highlights User Research, Usability, and User-Centered Design in Free Webinar Series
UX professionals share valuable insights from years of user research, testing and design on trending topics including eye tracking, global research, and medical device research.
CHICAGO, Jan. 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- User Centric, Inc., a Chicago-based user experience and design firm, will offer a series of webinars in 2012 to highlight techniques used to evaluate, measure and change the end-to-end user experience. The webinar series, "We Believe Experiences Matter," will begin February 2 and consist of 16 presentations throughout the year.
User Centric's thought leaders will present on a variety of topics, including: conducting longitudinal mobile research, global user research, measuring behavior in call centers and designing complex user interfaces.
User Centric Director Rick Omanson will present the first webinar, "Heavily-Used Interfaces: Designing for Efficiency," on February 2 at 12 p.m. CST. Dr. Omanson will discuss: (1) how expert users view, interpret and use interfaces differently than novice users; (2) the strengths and weaknesses expert users have in comparison to novice users; and (3) the interface features and strategies that make expert users more efficient as well as compensate for their weaknesses.
User Centric has been heavily involved in ensuring Electronic Health Records are evaluated for usability; Managing Director Robert Schumacher will discuss this topic in the webinar "Usability & Electronic Health Records" on February 14. This webinar will discuss the recently released EHR Usability Protocol from the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
