"On the heels of Wednesday's unanimous 24-0 vote in the Senate Finance Committee to approve PNTR, the introduction now of a bipartisan House bill by Ways and Means leadership -- and their announcement that the Committee will move swiftly to consider it -- is further sign of the strong momentum that is building for passage of PNTR with Russia," said USRBC President Ed Verona. "We are delighted that key Republican and Democratic lawmakers recognize the urgency of moving this legislation so that U.S. manufacturers, service providers, farmers and their workers are not left behind their foreign competitors in the Russian market. We will continue to work with all Members of Congress to press for final passage of PNTR by the August recess."
