WASHINGTON, March 24, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Thomas M. Conway, International Vice President of the United Steelworkers (USW), will be joining steel company CEOs, and steel industry representatives on Capitol Hill, Thursday, Mar. 26, 8:30 am – 10:00 pm to testify at a Congressional Steel Caucus hearing on the "State of American Steel."
The USW and the steel executives will speak to the state of the steel industry and how policies on trade are impacting manufacturing in the steel industry. The executives will also discuss other issues for the industry like tax reform and infrastructure funding. The hearing is hosted by Steel Caucus Chair Rep. Tim Murphy (R-PA) and Vice-Chair Rep. Pete Visclosky (D-IN).
