Utility Alliance Announces Educational Webinar Schedule on GHG Reduction
KANSAS CITY, Mo., Feb. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Electric Utility Industry Sustainable Supply Chain Alliance's (Alliance) goal of reducing energy use and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions within their members' supply chains and having their suppliers commit to reducing energy usage and GHG emissions took a major step forward with the creation of two videos. One, a motivational video urging companies to commit to reducing GHG emissions and to reduce energy usage and the other, a descriptive video demonstrating the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) review process within a cable manufacturing company. Both videos demonstrate that process improvements can save energy and money in daily operations.
The next step in reaching our goal includes holding educational webinars in February and March for manufacturers, service providers and distributors that will provide valuable information to help the webinar participants understand the resources and tools available. Each company can utilize this information to begin conserving energy, water, and waste while potentially gaining more control of their costs.
