Goodwin saw the concept for Snow Bear in her mind, based on her success with Glacier Bear, then hired a draftsman to create the construction drawings for the storybook chalets. "We wanted our guests to feel as if they were in their own storybook home," which is why they were designed as private treehouses rather than as a hotel.

Each of the treehouse chalets has expansive windows, luxurious Cambria Quartz countertops, Thermador, Bosch, and Vitamix appliances, native wood floors, and a soaring turret complete with 600 fiber-optic stars on the ceiling, in the form of constellations. Outside, each treehouse has a large deck high above the forest floor with an outdoor grill, a dining area with Polywood Outdoor Furniture and a private hot tub.
