VanQuoteDirect Review the Commercial Vehicles Show
LONDON, September 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
The 2012 IAA Commercial Vehicles Show has been in full swing this past week and VanQuoteDirect, a leading commercial vehicle insurance website, have been taking a look at the new vehicles on show at the event in Hannover.
Daimler has impressively presented a full range of vehicles. These vehicles, of course, include a line-up of Mercedes-Benz offerings, which VanQuoteDirect have seen grow in popularity with an increasing number of van insurance quotes have been taken out in recent years on Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles.
Additionally, the most successful commercial vehicle ever, the Ford Transit, has been on display too. The all-new, two-tonne Transit van has made its debut at the 2012 IAA whilst the latest Transit Custom van has been awarded the illustrious prize of "International Van of the Year 2013" at the show.
Joe de Vries, of VanQuoteDirect, has been commenting on the new vehicles on show: "It's great to see what some of the biggest manufacturers are bringing to the table. The emphasis for the show was all about the future of commercial vehicles, yet it seemingly looks like many companies have used this as a platform to promote their current vehicles. Of course, several concepts were on show too, yet the primary focus for manufacturers appears to be Euro VI."
Euro VI is a regulation to govern vehicles equipped with a diesel engine with the aim being to reduce the emissions of nitrogen oxides. VanQuoteDirect understands that the Euro VI regulation will come into force on 1st September 2014 for the approval of vehicles. So, roughly two years in advance certainly does seem a good time for manufacturers to begin planning for the Euro VI.
The IAA Commercial Vehicles Show has been open to the public from the 20th-27th September and has been a successful, enticing event for many within the commercial vehicle sector.
