Vapur® Inc. Takes a Stand Against Counterfeit Products
Company Sues Reshine Promotions Over Sales of Counterfeit "Anti-Bottles"
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., July 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Vapur® Inc., makers of the foldable, flexible, reusable and eco-responsible "Anti-Bottle," has filed a lawsuit against Reshine Promotions alleging that Reshine has promoted and sold counterfeit Anti-Bottles. The suit, docket number CV11-64568, filed May 25, 2011 in the United States District Court in the Central District of California, seeks damages and injunctive relief for federal trademark counterfeiting, federal trademark infringement, federal design patent infringement, federal unfair competition and California unfair competition.
"We have worked very hard creating our unique, innovative Vapur Anti-Bottles. Since inception we have built a solid, trusted, authentic brand," says Brent Reinke, Vapur Co-Founder. "Our intention with this lawsuit is to protect our loyal and new customers by taking a stand against cheap imitations. We intend to vigorously protect the Vapur brand against parties who infringe on our intellectual property rights."
Counterfeit Anti-Bottles have been produced in China and been distributed and sold in the greater Asian region and parts of North American. By filing the lawsuit, Vapur seeks to prevent Reshine from making, promoting or selling any unauthorized reproductions of Anti-Bottles, which infringe Vapur's trademarks and patents and attempt to pass off an inferior product as a true Vapur Anti-Bottle.
