CLEVELAND, May 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix today announced it has entered into an agreement with Veritix®, the state-of-the-art ticketing, event marketing and relationship management technology company, as its primary ticketing provider. Veritix will be the exclusive ticket provider for the IndyCar Series event, which returns to Detroit June 1-3 after a four-year hiatus.
The Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix, which has been brought back to Detroit by entrepreneur Roger Penske, chose Veritix in part for its industry-leading data capture and management capabilities and because its tools make the ticketing process efficient and more fan-friendly.
"We are happy to be working with Veritix as we bring world-class auto racing back to the Motor City for the first time since 2008," said Bud Denker, event chairman of the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix. The agreement is a multi-year exclusive contract, but specific terms were not released.
For Veritix, which is owned by Detroit entrepreneur Dan Gilbert, the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix relationship represents another important step in its efforts to serve the motorsports industry. Veritix currently has an existing relationship with Dover Motorsports in Dover, Del. to provide primary and secondary ticketing services.
"The return of the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix represents another important milestone in the resurgence of the Motor City, and we are proud to play a role in bringing it to area racing fans," said Guy Villa, Vice President of Sales for Veritix.
