Veteran Reporter Greg Hitt Joins Public Strategies, Inc. Washington, D.C. Office
AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Public Strategies, Inc. announced that Greg Hitt, respected congressional correspondent, joins its Washington, D.C. office today as a managing director. Hitt will serve as a strategic communications counselor for the firm's clients, which include Fortune 50 corporations, major associations and leading non-profit organizations.
Hitt has more than two decades of experience covering Congress at the Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires. Most recently, he helped lead the Journal's coverage of major legislation shaping President Obama's agenda, including the economic stimulus package, the health care reform bill and financial services reform.

Hitt has covered a wide range of issues including national politics, presidential campaigns, international economics and trade. He was also a member of the elite group of reporters covering the White House during President Bush's first term. Hitt joined Dow Jones Newswires in 1989 where he reported on financial issues in Congress, and then moved to the Wall Street Journal in 1996.
Before coming to Washington, Hitt spent four years at the Winston-Salem Journal in North Carolina. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor's degree in journalism.
