Veteran Tech Reporter David Shamah Joins Tel Aviv-based GKPR as "Journalist-in-Residence"
After an accomplished 17-year career as one of Israel's leading tech journalists, Shamah joins GK to develop high-level original content across their client base
TEL AVIV, Israel, April 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
GKPR, an international public relations firm based in Tel Aviv, announced today that veteran technology journalist David Shamah has joined the firm as its first "journalist-in-residence." In his role, Shamah will contribute his expertise to executives across GK's client portfolio, working directly with them and the GK account teams to develop high-level thought-leadership articles and original contributed content.
Over the last several years, it has become increasingly more important for companies to establish themselves as thought leaders through the publication of original content. By working alongside executives across GK's client base, Shamah will significantly enhance their ability to develop high level content that will contribute to, and ultimately help lead, important industry discussions.
"Adding a journalist of David's caliber significantly strengthens our ability to provide our clients with a level of service and experience that is hard to match in our industry," said Matt Krieger, Founder and Managing Director of GKPR. "I have long-respected David's style and ability and I am really excited that he is joining our team."
Prior to becoming the first tech editor of the Times of Israel in 2012, Shamah wrote for The Jerusalem Post for close to 15 years, where he covered computers, software, hardware, tech philosophy, the startup ecosystem as well as enterprises and multi-nationals active in Israel. Additionally, he wrote extensively for ZDNet, where he covered Israel's technology sector. His style has been defined by a remarkable ability to make complex technology concepts easy to understand and as "reader-friendly" as possible.
"I am honored to join the experienced and talented team at GKPR and to work alongside some of the most exciting companies in the tech industry," said Shamah. "I am also looking forward to taking the next step in my career and to use my experience to continue helping to tell the story of Israeli and cutting-edge high-tech to audiences around the world."
