Veterinary Wellness Center to Host Open House, to Include Activities for Owners and Pets
GLEN ROCK, N.J., Nov. 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Veterinary Wellness Center is hosting an Open House on Saturday, Nov. 7, between 12 noon and 5 p.m. The Veterinary Wellness Center is located at 196 Rock Road in Glen Rock, N.J.
Clients are encouraged to bring along their furry animal companions. Non-alcoholic beverages, gourmet sandwiches and hot delicacies will be provided. Cats and dogs that attend the event will be given an opportunity to win door prizes. There will also be pet and owner caricature drawings, free paw imprint keepsakes and a grand prize valued at $650.00.
Dr. Sepulveda has been practicing veterinary medicine for nearly 25 years. The hospital opened last September and has quickly earned a reputation for being compassionate, highly skilled and extremely knowledgeable about dogs and cats. Dr. Sepulveda says he thoroughly enjoys being a part of the community and developing relationships with residents and their canine and feline companions.
"Glen Rock residents have been extremely welcoming," he said. "My staff and I are so thankful for the support and we look forward to healing and caring for our clients today and in the future."
Dr. Sepulveda grew up in Puerto Rico and knew from a young age that he wanted to be a veterinarian. He was responsible for taking care of his family's dogs, ducks, fish, crabs, hamsters, birds and cats, and he often nursed sick animals in his neighborhood back to health. He graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at Tuskegee University in Alabama in 1992 and has been dedicated to bestowing the highest quality care from day one.
"I love having the ability to help animals get better," he said. "What's challenging about the profession is that the 'patient' cannot tell me what's wrong. My philosophy is to study the dog or cat carefully so that the animal receives targeted and specialized therapy."
Dr. Sepulveda's practice offers state-of-the-art technology and services. He's one of the only veterinarians serving the Glen Rock, Ridgewood, Paramus, Fair Lawn, Midland Park and adjacent areas to administer human-grade anesthesia and his surgeries are Laser Assisted, a technique that minimizes pain and speeds up the patient's recovery.
Dr. Sepulveda is also certified in Stem-Cell Therapy to treat arthritis and tendon injuries in dogs. Other services include an on-site diagnostic laboratory with the ability to obtain results in 10 minutes, a digital X-ray machine with board certified radiologist interpretation of x rays.
The hospital also added a complete dental suite with Digital Dental X rays.
The facility also has the capability of evaluating a dog's intestines by using a camera that can be swallowed and evaluated 24hrs later by an Internal Medicine Specialist.
Come meet Dr. Sepulveda and all the veterinary nurses on Nov. 7. A tour of the facility will be given and introduction to Dr. Sepulveda's patients. You can also reach out to Dr. Sepulveda and learn more about the Veterinary Wellness Center on Facebook. Dr.Sepulveda is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and actively supports the Humane Society. The Veterinary Wellness Center is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
