Viamedia Hires Phil Roddey to Oversee North Carolina Properties

LEXINGTON, Ky., Oct. 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Viamedia, the cable industry's leading independent cable rep firm, today announced the appointment of Phil Roddey as General Manager for their North Carolina properties overseeing the Charlotte, Raleigh and Greensboro markets.

Roddey brings a wealth of both cable sales experience and business development expertise to Viamedia. He began his advertising sales career in 1992 as an account executive for southeast turnkey cable operation, Cable Ad Connection. His responsibilities grew to include strategic sales implantation in new system startups representing systems such as Century Cable, Adelphia Cable & US Cable. In 2000 he was promoted to Sales Manager and in 2004 became the General Manager.

In 2006 he founded Morgan Marketing, a local turnkey ad insertion company, expanded its media products and began to launch local leased access channels across Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina & North Carolina.

Roddey will be responsible for driving local and regional business, providing support for the national sales teams, assisting in training efforts, driving focused sales events and delivering budget expectations for Viamedia's operations across the state of North Carolina.

Viamedia represents the local, regional & national advertising sales for CenturyLink (Raleigh), MI Connection (Charlotte) and Windstream (Greensboro) in North Carolina.
