CHICAGO, July 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Vibes, a mobile marketing and technology company, announces that John Haro has joined the company as chief technology officer. Haro will be pivotal in applying his experience with product engineering, analytics and business intelligence platforms and technologies to Vibes' approach to Mobile Relationship Management (MRM).
"Mobile marketing has become its own discipline, evolving into MRM. It's no longer enough to simply grow your mobile database — you have to examine what works, what doesn't and adjust," said Alex Campbell , CEO and co-founder of Vibes. "Analytics are a critical piece to this equation and John's background will be immensely valuable as Vibes continues to expand its MRM offerings."
Over the past 16 years, Haro has worked on a diverse mix of emerging digital marketing technologies and platforms. Haro was responsible for the development and delivery of all of iCrossing's proprietary marketing technology products, its data warehouses, business intelligence systems and advanced analytical tools. While at iCrossing, Haro rapidly grew the software engineering group and created the data services teams to capitalize on iCrossing's large and valuable data warehouse and aligned the engineering organization to support increasing demand on predictive analytics and attribution modeling.
"It's hard to blink without seeing the term 'mobile' attached to marketing and it's an exciting time to be a part of its evolution from an innovative niche to a core component of a brand's digital strategy," said Haro. "When I saw what Vibes was doing for major brands across the country, I was blown away. Vibes has a unique combination of technology, vision and executional expertise that together, have done some really amazing things to change how brands interact with consumers."
"John's proven leadership and digital marketing technology expertise are going to be huge assets for Vibes," said Jack Philbin , president and co-founder of Vibes. "Mobile is fundamentally changing the way brands interact with consumers and we're very much looking forward to John making an immediate impact on our team."
