WASHINGTON, June 17, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Vice President Joe Biden will address the nation's mayors on Friday, June 21st in Las Vegas at the 81st Annual Meeting of The United States Conference of Mayors. Almost 200 mayors will gather in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay hotel for the four-day session led by Conference President Philadelphia (PA) Mayor Michael Nutter and host Las Vegas (NV) Mayor Carolyn Goodman.

During the meeting, mayors from all over the country will come together to discuss public policy issues impacting residents in cities large and small. The economic health of the nation's cities, immigration, the on-going violence in America's cities, school safety, municipal bonds, energy efficiency, infrastructure investment, housing and help for returning Veterans top this year's agenda. On the final day of the meeting, the mayors will debate and vote on policy resolutions to forward to Congress and the Administration in the hopes of shaping federal legislation.
