Village Movement Unites in Atlanta
ATLANTA, Oct. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- People from around the world will gather for the National Village Gathering-- a three day event that is designed to cover all aspects of villages from start up to sustainability.
Villages are membership driven organizations for individuals who wish to stay in their home and community as they age. Villages are self-governing nonprofits run by small staffs and volunteers who build welcoming communities and coordinate affordable services, including transportation, in-home medical care, home repairs, and other day-to-day needs. The Village-to-Village Network is an innovative national peer-to-peer network that supports villages.
