Site to Launch 1080p playback and Mobile Support for Plus Members

NEW YORK, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Vimeo®, an operating business of IAC (Nasdaq: IACI), plans to roll out some exciting new site developments designed to enhance the benefits of Vimeo Plus membership. Plus members will soon be able to play back videos in full 1080p resolution and make videos viewable on mobile devices like the iPhone, Android, or Palm Pre.

"We want to provide our users with the best possible tools to share their videos," said Andrew Pile, Vice President of Product and Development for Vimeo. "We believe the creator should choose how people view their content, which is why we are offering both 1080p streaming and mobile viewing options that Vimeo Plus members can select when uploading their video."

Vimeo will also expand its mobile support beyond HD and Staff Picks to allow all Plus members to choose if they want their videos to be viewable on popular smartphones.

The site expects to have each of these new features live by the end of January.
