Virgin America Reports November 2013 Operational Results

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Virgin America today reported its preliminary operational results for November and November year-to-date. The airline's November 2013 traffic (revenue passenger miles) fell by 7 percent, while capacity (available seat miles) decreased 4.8 percent compared with November 2012.

Passenger load factor in November was 72.8 percent, down 1.7 points from the same month last year. The number of onboard passengers decreased 2.9 percent, compared with November 2012.

Virgin America estimates November 2013 passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) to have declined between 2-3 percent year-over-year.
