Virginian Wins MaxClarity Fresh Face Challenge
Fans Vote Cindy Reed's "Moment of Clarity" Winner of Online Contest as MaxClarity Celebrates Confidence and Clarity Among Acne Fighters
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., Dec. 6, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Stiefel, a GSK company, named Cindy Reed of Arlington, Va. as the winner of the MaxClarity Fresh Face Challenge. The contest challenged people across the country to make a pledge to take care of their skin and submit their self-defined "moment of clarity" online for the chance to win VIP treatment in New York City or Los Angeles.
After making MaxClarity – the first non prescription foam-based acne treatment system with VersaFoam technology – their skin care regimen for up to 30 days, contestants like Reed submitted their "moment of clarity" and before and after photos. Following the contest close, a panel of judges selected the top submissions and the top finalists were featured on the contest website, where the public voted for their favorite "moment of clarity." Reed's story about her new-found confidence was a clear favorite among both the judges and fans.
Reed's winning "moment of clarity" won her the treatment she deserves – an all expenses paid trip for two to New York City or Los Angeles, including a celebrity-style hair cut and makeup consultation, $500 shopping spree, two-night hotel stay and roundtrip airfare in the city of her choice.
"There is a tremendous amount of excitement and energy from consumers and Cindy's moment of clarity stood out to us, she was one of many contestants that expressed their positive experience with the product," said Jonathan Commons, Director of Global Integrated Communications, Stiefel. "It was clear that the product made a difference in all of the finalists' skin and we hope that helping them get clear skin has made an impact in their lives. This contest was the perfect way to show real acne sufferers how moments of clarity and real results are possible every day with the right skin care regimen."
The other finalist winners include: Zoe Ramer (Concord, Calif.), Victoria Maxwell (Miami), Karen Mead (Wingdale, N.Y.), Angel Reyes (Park Ridge, Ill.), Anna Llanes (San Benito, Texas), Crystal Gonzales (Bernanillo, Fla.), and Linda Barabasova (Winston-Salem, N.C.).
