Thompson as Chairman of its Board of Directors.

Secretary Thompson has enjoyed a long and distinguished career in health care and public service. He was first elected to the Wisconsin state Assembly in 1966, where he served until he was elected Governor in 1987. Thompson served as Governor from 1987 to 2001 before he was nominated by President George W. Bush to serve as Secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human Services in 2001. During his four-year term at HHS, Secretary Thompson served as the nation's leading advocate for the health and welfare of all Americans. Secretary Thompson is currently the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Thompson Holdings and an Operating Partner at MTS. Secretary Thompson received both his Bachelor of Sciences and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
