VIZIO Sales Grow Twice as Fast as the Industry -VIZIO led the industry with 31% quarter over quarter sales growth, almost doubling the industry average of 16%

IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- VIZIO, maker of America's Best Selling LED LCD HDTV, headquartered in Irvine, CA, announced today that it outperformed the industry in overall sales growth quarter over quarter, which was propelled by the success of its advanced technology products.  In the second quarter, VIZIO shipments were up 31% QoQ, the largest in the industry, and almost doubled the U.S. LCD TV market growth of 16%. Much of this success was driven by consumer adoption of VIZIO's larger-sized models (40"+), connected TV platform, known as VIZIO Internet Apps (VIA), and LED LCD HDTVs. LED shipments increased 176% over Q1 2010 and represent almost 40% of VIZIO's product mix, making VIZIO one of the industry leaders in LED backlight technology.

Resulting in VIZIO going up 31% from 1.066 million TVs sold in Q1 2010.
