Voctro Labs Launches Voiceful Characters to Create Artificial Voices in Videogames

BARCELONA, Spain, June 19, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Voiceful Characters is a powerful tool for game developers that transforms written text into the voices bringing characters to life in a video game (text-to-speech). A Deep-Learning-based technology, it creates high-quality, expressive, and realistic voices. This tool is not intended to substitute for irreplaceable human voices. It rather aims to complement them. The most common use cases are as follows:

• To create customised and dynamic dialogues from written texts.
• To provide voices to the game NPCs, particularly to those with non-human features, to whom different emotions can be conferred.
• To make text-based games more accessible for visually impaired people.
• To adjust the pace of storytelling by allowing interactive listening to dialogues during the development process.

Voiceful Characters will soon expand its product line to include real-time voice-change technology. It will allow developers to include voice-customization options for chat users in their multiplayer.

Voiceful Characters is a plug-in for the Unity videogame engine. It integrates seamlessly with projects, and, once imported, no internet connection is required. Three versions are available ― Free, Lite and Pro ― including pre-set settings and a broad range of options for voice design in its pro version.
