Vonage's 98th, 99th and 100th Patents
Vonage was granted three patents today, marking its 98th, 99th and 100th issued patents:
- U.S. Pat. Nos. 9,203,593 and 9,203,906, each entitled "Systems and Methods for Enabling Data Communications to a Telephony Device," cover algorithms for minimizing battery usage by VoIP communications on mobile devices, by varying the frequency of background signaling between the device and the VoIP provider's network.
- U.S. Pat. No. 9,203,969, "Apparatus and Methods for Integrating Information from Voice Over Internet Calling Systems and Social Networking Systems," provides a system for recommending links between users on a social network based on their communication histories and activity on a phone system.
