These patents demonstrate the company's continued dedication to innovation.

U.S. Pat. No. 8,693,994, "Systems and Methods for Terminating Telephony Communications to Mobile Telephony Devices," issued April 8, 2014, provides methods for sending requests to a customer's mobile carrier that will activate a call forwarding feature to enable low-cost incoming calls on mobile phones while traveling internationally. This is Vonage's third patent related to this technology.
U.S. Pat. No. 8,683,044, "Third-Party Call Control Application Program Interface," issued March 25, 2014, relates to a click-to-call feature that uses Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) to establish a call between two devices based on a request issued over a computer network. This is Vonage's third patent related to click-to-call technology.
U.S. Pat. No. 8,681,959, "Method and System for Customized Caller Identification," issued March 25, 2014, allows calling parties to choose how their caller ID will be displayed to recipients. This technology also allows the recipient to set up a custom caller ID that will be displayed based on the identity of the person placing the call.
U.S. Pat. No. 8,635,454, "Authentication Systems and Methods Using a Packet Telephony Device," issued January 21, 2014, relates to authenticating a subscriber for VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) services to prevent fraudulent access to the subscriber's online account.
The company now owns 41 U.S. patents and has more than 215 U.S. patent applications pending, along with numerous foreign patents and pending applications in jurisdictions worldwide.
