Voyomotive wins SEMA Launch Pad, SEMA Global Media Award, the Auto Care Association and Equipment and Tool Institute’s Aftermarket Telematics Challenge Award and VOYO is named runner-up by SEMA for Best New Packaging Design 2016
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Voyomotive LLC, engineers of the world's most advanced connected car technology, VOYO, is honored to be the recipient of the 2015 SEMA Launch Pad Award, SEMA Global Media Award, The Auto Care Association's (ACA) and Equipment and Tool Institute's (ETI) Aftermarket Telematics Challenge Award and to be named Runner-Up for Best New Packaging Design 2016 by SEMA.
- SEMA Launch Pad Award Winner: SEMA's Young Executives Network's (YEN) third annual "SEMA Launch Pad" business competition, offered innovators, inventors, and entrepreneurs under the age of 40 an industry platform to showcase their business plan for marketing a new automotive product or service. Voyomotive's CTO, Robert Vogt, presented to a panel of YEN judges who awarded him top honors for the VOYO device.
- Global Media Award Winner: The annual Global Media Award is selected by 35 top automotive journalists from more than 20 countries. VOYO was one of 10 products from the New Products Showcase to be selected for the award, signifying the product's global appeal.
- Aftermarket Telematics Challenge Award Winner: Now in its fourth year, the Telematics Challenge Award, which is sponsored by the ACA and ETI, recognizes the best examples of aftermarket technology in telematics. While modern cars feature dozens of computers generating gigabytes of data, until the introduction of VOYO there has not yet been a solution that fully leverages this data. In just two minutes, car owners can connect VOYO hardware and begin using a suite of apps to change how they interact with their cars; providing actionable, useful information for consumers and improving safety and security on the road.
- SEMA 2015 New Product Awards, Best Packaging Design Runner Up: The annual New Products Breakfast kicked off the 2015 SEMA Show, recognizing outstanding achievements in the development of products being introduced to the specialty automotive aftermarket. VOYO was named runner-up in the Packaging Design category for its clean, iconic and functional design that is both in harmony with the vehicle, and also suggests the depth of capability of the full suite of Voyomotive solutions. To develop VOYO's exterior design, packaging and branding, Voyomotive partnered with frogVentures™, the investment arm of global design and strategy firm, frog.
"Following the consumer launch of VOYO, we are thrilled to be awarded with four outstanding accolades at this year's SEMA show," said Peter Yorke, CEO and Co-Founder of Voyomotive. "These honors are a true testament to VOYO's ability to provide users previously untapped levels automotive insights, security and fuel efficiency while collecting 100x more data than any other after-market solution on the market."
"VOYO represents the best values that we highlight at the ACA," said Kathleen Schmatz, president and CEO, Auto Care Association. "As automotive technology continues to expand and evolve, it's important for drivers to be able to utilize the best technology on the market without having to buy a new car. VOYO delivers those capabilities and more to its users."
“The Equipment and Tool Institute understands the importance telematics plays in today’s vehicle technology, and we were excited to co-sponsor the Aftermarket Telematics Challenge in partnership with the Auto Care Association,” said Greg Potter, executive manager, ETI. “VOYO is a new and innovative company in the aftermarket and represents the exciting opportunities, advancements and solutions in the telematics segment, and we couldn’t be more pleased that they were chosen as this year’s winner. VOYO’s product has some unique features and cost-saving efficiencies and offers connectivity for older vehicles. ETI recognizes their contributions and congratulates them on a job well done.”
Voyomotive recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to give early backers the first chance to experience VOYO and retrofit almost any car built since 1996 into a "smart car" to improve safety, convenience and fuel efficiency.
