The tradition began in 2008 at a Waffle House restaurant in John's Creek, Ga. An influx of customers dined at this restaurant every Valentine's Day, so the manager decided to make the experience extra special. Ten years later, the trend of white tablecloths, candles, and special menu items has spread to over 160 Waffle House locations in 16 states.

"Though you can get an incredible experience year-round at Waffle House, we encourage you to take advantage of this unique moment with friends, family, or your significant other," Warner adds. "After all, Valentine's Day isn't about how much money you spend. It's about the people with whom you spend that time."
