Casey has joined the firm as a partner. A former assistant U.S. attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) as well as senior counsel in the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Casey will add significant knowledge and expertise to Walden Macht & Haran's white collar and financial services teams.
Over his years in private practice, Casey has gained extensive experience counseling international corporations and individuals in sophisticated white collar matters and internal investigations. By serving at both the SEC and the DOJ, Casey is adept at advising clients across the financial services sector in response to any form of U.S. government regulatory or criminal investigation. His practice focuses on futures trading, market manipulation and spoofing, corruption and violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, securities and tax fraud, and insider trading.

Casey began his career as a law clerk for the Honorable Glenn T. Harrell Jr. on the Court of Appeals of Maryland. He received an LLM in Securities and Financial Regulation from the Georgetown University Law Center; a JD (magna cum laude) from the University of Baltimore School of Law; and a BA from Loyola College of Maryland.
