Martocchia, a REALTOR® since 1985 and past President of GBAR, has served on no less than 20 local, state and national committees within the REALTOR® Association, chairing five of them. During this time, he spearheaded an initiative to organize and expand GBAR's community outreach efforts through annual investment in local non-profit housing agencies. Martocchia also participated in efforts to re-write state real estate laws to regulate agency practice and chaired a committee that implemented a group health care insurance program for Massachusetts REALTORS®. Additionally, he was a contributor at the local and state levels for reviewing and revising forms libraries and was an active voice in the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) consolidation efforts which led to the establishment of MLS Property Information Network, a regional broker-owned property listing service used by agents and brokers.
