Waterproof Electronic Enclosures Receive UL 508A Listing
AVON, Ohio, Sept. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Polycase® ML Series of watertight and corrosion resistant plastic enclosures for electronics has been listed by Underwriters Laboratories as conforming to UL standard 508A, NEMA Type 1, 2, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 specifications. With a high-quality silicone gasket seal and UL94V-0 flame rated material, this enclosure is competitively priced starting at $14.56 each.
Designed for outdoor applications, the ML Series cases are molded in light gray UV-stabilized polycarbonate and offer a clear, distortion-free polycarbonate cover option. The ML Series cover has a standard recessed smooth finish that makes it ideal for use with or without graphic overlays or membrane keypads. Two convenient sizes are available: a 7.63" x 4.63" x 3.09" option and an 8.75" x 5.25" x 3.30" option. Both sizes include molded on surface-mounting flanges, plastic mounting bosses, and brass inserts for cover on/off convenience.
The form-fitting silicone gasket makes the ML Series ideal for use in a wide range of environmental conditions, protecting internal electronic components from dust, dirt and water, and is conducive to temperature ranges of -40 degrees C to 120 degrees C.
Optional cable glands are also available in seven sizes, accommodating cables ranging from .118" to .945" in diameter.
