WealthCounsel and Trusts & Estates Magazine Once Again Sponsor Annual Industry Trends Survey Survey Probes Impact of Economic Recession and Attorneys' Stance on Estate Tax Repeal
NEW YORK, Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- WealthCounsel, LLC and the publishers of Trusts & Estates magazine announced the launch of the 4th Annual Industry Trends Survey. All practicing estate planning attorneys are eligible to participate in the web survey which is the industry's only source for comprehensive insight on emerging trends.
The survey closes on Oct. 25, 2010 and findings will be released on Jan. 10, 2011. Attorneys may take the survey at: http://www.wealthcounsel.com/2010_industry_trends_survey.aspx
"This year's survey includes several important questions we have not asked in previous surveys, including whether attorneys favor or oppose repeal of the estate tax," said Matt McClintock, Executive Director of WealthCounsel. "The results of this question will be particularly poignant in a recession economy, during the one year that large estates like George Steinbrenner's can completely avoid federal estate tax," McClintock added.
The 2010 survey also seeks insight from practicing attorneys into why a majority of Americans do not have a basic will, let alone a more comprehensive estate plan. "Considering the profound consequences for clients who become disabled or who die unexpectedly, the data this question gathers will help our industry raise awareness among the general public, and will help us more effectively communicate the need for professional estate planning," McClintock added.
"We're excited to be joining WealthCounsel once again in launching this annual survey," said Rich Santos, Publisher for Trusts & Estates magazine in New York. "Each year the data we collect becomes more interesting and the value it provides to industry professionals and consumers is unquestionable."
