Weber Grill Restaurant to Refurbish Giant Red Kettle at Flagship Downtown Chicago Location
PALATINE, Ill., March 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Tomorrow, Weber Grill Restaurant will be taking down its iconic red kettle grill that's perched over its busy 539 N. State Street location. The restaurant is planning a six-week restoration of the giant 15-foot charcoal grill that has enjoyed its high-profile location since the restaurant opened in 2002.
Local Chicagoland company Omega Sign & Lighting, will be spearheading the makeover, which includes a dazzling new paint job, along with weather-related maintenance and repairs to the grill that has endured more than 15 Chicago winters.
"The red kettle is so iconic and instantly identifiable with the Weber brand," said Jim Stephen, Executive Chairman, Weber-Stephen Products LLC. "We are excited for this project and are looking forward to restoring the kettle to its original luster and beauty for not only our customers, but for the millions of people who pass by our doors every year."
During the renovation, Weber Grill Restaurant will maintain its current hours of operation.
