PALATINE, Ill., Nov. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- According to the 25th annual Weber GrillWatch™ Survey, nearly one in five U.S. grill owners (18 percent) will be grilling their Thanksgiving turkey outdoors this year. Even the cooler temperatures won't deter grillers, as more people grill year-round (51 percent), and a hearty 34 percent grill even in sub-freezing temperatures.
As more people head outdoors to prepare their Thanksgiving turkey, calls to Weber's grilling hotline—the Weber Grill-LineSM—spike dramatically. Typically, turkey-related call volume increases a whopping 900 percent during November, with many callers looking for advice and tips not only on Thanksgiving, but also in the days and weeks leading up to the holiday as many people practice with a trial run on a smaller bird so they are ready when guests arrive.

During Thanksgiving week, the Weber Grill-Line will be open from 7 AM – 9 PM. On Thanksgiving Day, the Grill-Line will close at 4 PM.

All respondents were 21 years of age or older and currently own a charcoal, gas or electric outdoor grill or smoker. The sample was divided between 50 percent males and 50 percent females and was balanced demographically to represent households across the U.S.
