WebinarJam Says Goodbye to Hangouts with Release of New JamSession Room
SAN DIEGO, Dec. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Genesis Digital, creators of the industry's premier live event platform, WebinarJam, made a great leap today toward full separation from Google Hangouts with the public release of their proprietary JamSession Room. This new Room is an on-line HD meeting place for Webinar Presenters that completely replaces (and improves upon) Google Hangouts.
JamSession had originally been planned for release in Q1 2017. However, its development was expedited after Google's support of Hangouts became spotty. JamSession went full BETA in November.
"The hyper successful BETA release to existing customers allowed us to work out the kinks, just as we hoped for. Even better, we were thrilled to find that there were far fewer bugs than we'd expected, and no show-stoppers. We are excited to see increased reliability, ease of use, and higher quality video feed become available to new customers much sooner than we thought," said Raul Predescu, Director of Development. "Plus, now that we're using internally developed programming, we can resolve any issues that occur -- immediately -- instead of waiting for Google to both listen and act."
Progressing through three stages of innovation.
The public release of WebinarJam sans Hangouts marks the shift from Phase One of the launch, "The Stroll," to Phase Two, "The Sprint." Phase Three, "The Soar," is set to roll out Q1 2017.
The Sprint Phase offers all the existing features of WebinarJam, plus some amazing new ones:
- Easier webinar start process
- Built-in pre-webinar microphone and HD camera testing
- Split screen capabilities
- Fully recorded hybrid webinars
- Greatly simplified Attendee Spotlight process
- Fail safe protocol for webinar room maintenance should the Host lose ISP connection
"The development and implementation of the new features was deliberate and precise. It was easy to conceive what would make our product better, because we had a comprehensive feature request list from our customers from which to draw," said Gideon Marcus, COO of Genesis Digital.
From CEO, Andy Jenkins, "It's a new era for our company. Genesis Digital is growing, becoming more technically savvy, moving further into the SaaS niche as an independent, progressive powerhouse. We're diving full force into this newer, better technology, and bringing an even more amazing, more reliable product to more people."
