In operation since 1970, WestAir sells gases, equipment and gas delivery systems, to a broad range of customers in a variety of industries, including metal fabrication, food and beverage, shipbuilding, pharmaceutical, hospitals and laboratories. The company, headquartered in San Diego, California , and one of the largest independent distributors on the west coast, operates 19 supply locations – 16 in California, two in Texas and one in Arizona.
"WestAir has earned a great reputation over four and a half decades for providing high quality products and services to customers in those markets," said Bob Van Kirk, Head of Distributors, U.S. Packaged Gas Products and the Caribbean, for Linde LLC. "Managing the company today are second- and third-generation family members who have a wealth of experience in the business and who have developed great relationships with their customers. We're truly excited to have WestAir as part of our industry-leading network of independent distributors."
This move will enhance Linde's ability to bring its innovative products to customers, through a business relationship with a well-established distributor that offers enhanced reach.
"Our relationship with Linde has allowed WestAir the ability to scale up seamlessly, allowing us to keep up with the growth of our bulk and microbulk markets," said Steve Byers, President and COO of WestAir.
