Westfield Auctions to Make Charitable Pledge for Each Item Won
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- To increase the scope of their charitable policies, Westfield Auctions has recently implemented donations right into the bidding process. Starting in Summer of 2017, all participants who win their item of choice during an auction will have the opportunity to make a pledge to one of three organizations: St. Jude's Children's Hospital, American Wounded Heroes Charities, or the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Furthermore, if the participants themselves do not elect to make the donation from their own funds, then Westfield Auctions will make the contribution in their name.
Ronen Varsha, who founded Westfield Auctions in 1999, elaborated on the auction house's recent pledge: "We wanted to incorporate another dimension of giving into our auction house. The organizations we chose were ones that align with both our values and our mission to help sustain the community that brings art to life. Our children, the future of our society, are the future creators of the art we consume; our veterans have played a monumental role in keeping our culture safe; and mankind's love for animals has been a source of happiness and inspiration since the beginning of time. The purchase of a piece of fine art or jewelry from Westfield Auction is a gesture of support for the creative arts, and it's our mission to ensure that each gesture positively effects as many lives as possible."
Founded in 1999, Westfield Auctions has become one of Los Angeles' most beloved auction houses by hosting family-friendly live events for local residents on a weekly basis. With deep ties in both the art community and a global network of over 50 different sources of fine assets, Westfield Auctions has never failed to offer its bidders a variety of luxury goods at unmatched prices.
