According to Dichter, the AirMed International program is available to Wheels Up members and/or listed passengers on any given trip itinerary, who require medical transport within 10 days of his or her scheduled Wheels Up flight. The service will provide relocation to the hospital of choice for patients in stable condition who become hospitalized more than 150 miles from their home, within the Wheels Up footprint that covers the U.S., parts of the Caribbean, northern Mexico, and southeastern Canada.
AirMed transport specialists will seamlessly execute medical evacuations for Wheels Up members and/or their guests, serving as the liaison between the attending and receiving physicians while collecting all vital medical data and managing the patient itinerary and dispatch.
