White Lodging Names Tim Grant as General Manager of the Hilton Garden Inn Annapolis Grant joins first Hilton property after 13 years with the Marriott brand
MERRILLVILLE, Ind., Dec. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- White Lodging is pleased to announce Tim Grant has been named general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn in Annapolis, Md.
"It is exciting to be in a destination market driven by leisure transient and group business after spending most of my career in markets driven almost exclusively by special corporate," said Grant.
Previously, Grant was the general manager at the Residence Inn in Rocky Hill, Conn.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and Music, his hospitality career began in Rhode Island where he worked at a Marriott to save money to move to New York. He then transferred to the New York Marriott Downtown where he worked during the day as he auditioned and studied acting in the evenings. After a few years, he then decided to pursue sales.
"Sales looked to be a good fit for me so I took a sales manager job in Parsippany, N.J. My first White Lodging job was Director of Sales in Farmington, Conn. in 2008 and I have been with the company since," Grant said.
With over thirteen years of experience, Grant has held additional positions such as assistant general manager, director of sales, account executive, sales manager and bell captain.
"I am thrilled to get started here in Annapolis and am grateful for the opportunity," Grant said.
This will be Grant's first Hilton property after thirteen years with the Marriott brand.
