When PickupMetrics.com surveyed 100 single women in the US about men's texting habits, all hell broke loose.

Pickup Metrics made it their mission to answer the questions men are dying to know about texting girls after exchanging numbers. Questions like:

• How should I contact her?
• When should I text her?
• What's my competition?
• Where am I going wrong?

The results of the survey not only totally debunked the 3 day rule when 89% said they wanted to be contacted within 48 hours, but they also revealed that 21% of men don't make first contact until 3 days or more.

That's a lot of guys potentially blowing their chances before they even get close to fixing the first date.

Since the survey also showed that there are on average 4 guys chasing girls in high demand, it makes it all the more important for guys to get a handle on their texting habits if they want to stand out and have any chance of fixing a date.

But it get's worse...

The survey went on to reveal what shocking texting habit towered above the rest for making women flake the first date. You might be surprised to know it wasn't talking dirty or being dull, but desperate and needy texts that rose above the rest.

Texting women constant updates on your day, sending text monologues and too much flattery are all examples of needy texts that make women run a mile.

One repelling male texting habit particularly worth a mention is when men reveal jealous traits. 24% of the women flagged this up as a top reason for flaking. So guys, enough of the guilt tripping all ready.
