XI'AN, China, Dec. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Winners of the "Shaanxi Selfie Culture Hunt" Facebook campaign have been announced today by Shaanxi Provincial Tourism Administration. One was awarded two round-trip flight tickets to Shaanxi and 20 were awarded a customized Terracotta Warrior selfie stick. Aiming at capturing the beauty of Shaanxi in an unconventional way, the "Shaanxi Selfie Culture Hunt" campaign has attracted over 28,000 "Likes" on Facebook.
On September 21, 2015, a California native Kiersten Rich, who has visited 45 countries and has half a million visitors per month to her Facebook page, together with Tyson Mayr, an Aussie who has been travelling since 2009 and visited 50+ countries through six continents, were invited to attend the "Shaanxi Selfie Culture Hunt". On their seven day trip, they visited Shaanxi's most famous attractions, including the Terracotta Army, Xi'an City Wall, Muslim Street, Daming Palace, Huaqing Hot Springs and Mount Hua, taking selfies to share on their social media accounts. One of Kiersten's breathtaking selfies on Mount Hua obtained nearly 4,500 "likes" on Instagram.
Their selfies were then voted for by Facebook users and Shaanxi Provincial Tourism Administration selected 21 winners from the voters via a lucky draw to award them two round-trip flight tickets to Shaanxi or a customized terracotta warrior selfie stick.
