Women's Wellness Foundation Announces Dinami House Ribbon Cutting
Ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 27th at 4:00 pm ET gives Cleveland a glance at the future of transitional housing
CLEVELAND, July 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Women's Wellness Foundation today announced the ribbon-cutting ceremony of Dinami House, its flagship, transitional home for women in reentry. Meaning strength, Dinami House provides women with the opportunity to rebuild their lives while forming relationships, discovering their inner strength and developing the tools necessary to be strong women, mothers, wives, entrepreneurs and leaders. Situated in the Slavic Village of Cleveland, Dinami House is temporary housing in a clean, bright, safe and nurturing environment.
According to the Journal of Offender Rehabilitation, "It is not enough, however, just to offer housing to women; in order for it to be an effective aid to successful reentry, housing must be safe, affordable, child-friendly and supportive of a sober lifestyle." These features build the cornerstone of Dinami House. It is a drug-free, safe, Christian environment offering on-site linkage to resources. Residents take advantage of programs such as support groups, free training, music & adventure therapy, job readiness workshops, personal financial management and more from a caring community of volunteers who encourage their success.
With the opening of Dinami House, Women's Wellness Foundation fulfills the founders' dream of providing a place where women can rebuild their lives. "It's been my dream to create a place where women are transported to a space where they focus on self-care," said Cynthia Rios, Executive Director of Women's Wellness Foundation. "As women, we pour so much into everyone around us that we neglect to care for ourselves. Dinami House is where women can focus only on themselves."
Dinami House ribbon-cutting ceremony is Thursday, July 27, 2017, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm ET. Visitors can tour the two-family home in Cleveland at 5159 Fowler Rd. and speak with residents, volunteers and learn more about the diverse offerings available.
