Wonder Media to Present Taylor County Schools With The National Merit Award on February 13, 2018 For Pioneering in Animation Technology
Former "Rugrats CEO" Terry Thoren will present an award for exemplary implementation of Wonder Media Story Maker™ in the Taylor County Schools
CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky., Feb. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Wonder Media Story Maker® allows students to instantly create an animated cartoon with their script and voice to share with their school community on YouTube and Facebook.
Wonder Media Story Maker® was created by Terry Thoren, the former CEO of Klasky Csupo, Inc., the company that produced the first 65 episodes of the Simpsons for Fox TV and Rugrats, the Wild Thornberrys and Rocket Power for Nickelodeon. Thoren is now the CEO of Wonder Media, USA.
Mr. Thoren will be in Campbellsville, Kentucky on February 13th to present the National Merit Award to Superintendent Dr. Roger Cook and his team of Kentucky Story Makers.
Wonder Media Story Maker® puts students at the helm of their own animation studio. It allows students in grades 4-12 to create their own animated lessons in the classroom. Students develop their literacy, collaboration, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills in a medium they're already crazy about: animation!
Taylor County students are learning career ready skills by using Wonder Media Story Maker® to produce commercials for Kentucky business clients.
Completed projects will also join a growing network of student-produced animated stories on the Wonder Media Story Maker® website and YouTube channel, where schools around the country post their work for the world to see.
