- Piedmont Health's $603 million overhaul of their hospital's main campus in Buckhead will add 114 general hospital beds and a new 16-story tower to the campus. The new Marcus Tower will be anchored by Piedmont's Marcus Heart and Vascular Center. The space will include 10 shared operating rooms relocated from the main surgical suite and three new inpatient operating rooms, eight cardiac catheterization labs (six of which are being relocated), and four electrophysiology labs (also being relocated to the tower).

The new project will include a full complement of surgery, interventional procedures, emergency trauma center, imaging, 44 intensive care units, and 176 surgical / surgical patient rooms.
