CHICAGO, May 14, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, the "Friends of NIOSH" (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) sent letters to the U.S. House and Senate Health and Human Service subcommittees, urging the inclusion of fiscal year 2012 funding levels for the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) in 2014.
Current fiscal year 2014 budget proposals would eliminate several NIOSH supported programs including the Educations and Research Centers (ERC) and the Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing Program (AFF).
