WOW air Announces Chicago As Its 10th North American Destination

CHICAGO, March 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- WOW air, Iceland's ultra-affordable transatlantic airline, will begin landing in the Windy City July 2017, with the inaugural flight from O'Hare International Airport (ORD) on July 13, 2016. It's true; Chicagoans will have access to low-fare travel to Iceland, and WOW air's other European destinations, as of this summer.

Tickets from O'Hare to Keflavik Airport (KEF) will go on sale today for only $99. Additionally, for only $149 customers from Chicago can continue on to 23 other cities that WOW air offers, including London, Paris, Amsterdam, Dublin, Copenhagen, Berlin and Frankfurt to name a few. Service from ORD to KEF will be available four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

WOW air's expansion to Chicago builds upon the successful launch of transatlantic services to Miami, Pittsburgh, New York, Washington D.C, Boston, Montreal, Toronto and Californian destinations Los Angeles and San Francisco.

The new O'Hare route will be serviced by the Airbus A321-300 aircrafts, acclaimed for their wider cabin, low operating costs and excellent fuel efficiency. Seat pitch will vary from 30 inches as standard to 34 inches at an additional charge.
