WOW Air Closure: Financial Default Travel Insurance Can Cover Travelers
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., March 29, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The sudden closure of Icelandic budget carrier WOW Air has left thousands of travelers stranded and looking to travel insurance to recoup costs. Fortunately, travelers with insurance policies that include cancellation coverage for the financial default of a common carrier may be covered by their policy, as long as specific conditions are met.

If You Do Have Travel Insurance

If You Do Not Have Travel Insurance
- Unfortunately, uninsured travelers with upcoming flights on WOW Air can no longer purchase a policy with coverage for this specific event.
- Travelers who are concerned about future airline closures can buy a policy to include Trip Cancellation coverage for Financial Default.
